Mercury CMS Features
Our experienced development team is constantly enhancing the functionality of the Mercury CMS system and adding useful new modules.  Core features that make Mercury CMS stand apart from the crowd and giving you valuable ROI.

WYSIWYG HTML editor
Unlike most content management systems available today the Mercury CMS allows users to make changes where they want to make them right on the page. Content sections can be added or removed with a click of the mouse, and previews allow you to see how each change affects the page as you go. This style of ?What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get? or WYSIWYG editing uses content contribution boxes that work just like the publishing software you?re used to, while automatically creating the HTML coding required to post your work to the web.

role-based security
Based on login and password, the system defines access levels and authority based on the user?s role. Publishers and managing editors can review departmental progress at every level and content contributors can be restricted to their specific responsibilities depending on the security requirements you choose.
asset management
Mercury CMS 3.0 also includes one of the most comprehensive Asset Management tools available anywhere online. Assets are defined as the file types and content elements that enhance the visitors online experience.  Asset elements such as images, MS Office Documents, PDFs, Flash files, as well as a wide variety of audio and video file formats can be indexed and loaded into the site by any Internet connected user with appropriate authority. All of these assets are available for presentation on the Mercury CMS website.  Magazine back issues, for example can be quickly stored as PDF assets for immediate inclusion in the website. With a few easy clicks, content contributors can transfer images and / or other file types to the systems Asset Management.  As assets are uploaded to the system they instantly become available for use by other authorized users.

workflow management
Like the offline publication process, the final authority to accept and include content for publication rests in the hands of management. The managing editors become the webmasters, deciding which content contributions -from whole pages to content ?sections? including editorial, images, even interactive properties from the advertising sales department- make it onto the site. You make the final call on whether the content is published, sent back for revision, or discarded- while the whole process is carefully documented for anytime review.

link management
This tool allows content contributors the ability to easily link pages to each other as well as create on-page click-through to internal asset elements, as well as internal or external pages. It also allows for the inclusion of page anchors making it easier for visitors to navigate pages with long vertical information presentations.
